Chasing Light, Catching Laughter: Megan & Eric’s Engagement Session

Some sessions feel like a warm-up for the wedding day. Megan and Eric’s felt like a celebration all on its own.

Set against the rugged beauty of Buffalo Head Hills, their engagement shoot was bursting with laughter, movement, and the kind of joy that doesn’t need prompting; it just shows up.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear: these two were here to have fun. No stiff poses, no forced smiles. Just genuine excitement and a whole lot of love. They ran, they twirled, they laughed until their cheeks hurt. Every frame felt alive, like the hills themselves were cheering them on.

Joy was everywhere. In the way Megan leaned into Eric mid-laugh, in the way he looked at her like she was the only person on the planet. It was the kind of shoot where you don’t have to direct much; you just follow the energy and let the story unfold.

Buffalo Head Hills gave us the perfect backdrop: wide open skies, textured terrain, and golden light that wrapped around them like a warm hug. It was adventurous, bright, and full of heart... just like them ;)
